Download and Installation

Make sure you are using the latest version. If not - download and install the latest version from our web site:

Download Helicon Filter or Helicon Focus.

Windows: Run installation (exe file) and follow the wizard.
Mac OS X: Save ZIP file to Application folder and double click it to Unzip Helicon Focus application

Automatic registration

1. Press 'Registration' button in the toolbar of Helicon Filter or Helicon Focus.

2. Enter activation code which we have sent you in the purchase notification.

3. Press 'Activate the program' button.

Only Helicon Filter v. 4.27 (and higher), Windows version of Helicon Focus v.4.01 (and higher) and Helicon Focus Mac v.3.79 (and higher) can be registered online. If you have older version, please download and install the latest version of Helicon Filter or Helicon Focus.

Helicon Help Desk

We created online support system where you can generate keys and ask for help.

To enter the system please:

1. Open http://support.heliconfilter.com in your browser

2. Enter your activation code to log in.

If you do not remember your activation code, please use "Forgot password?" link
If you do not remember your email, please send message to support@heliconfilter.com

When you entered the system, you can write message to support, generate keys for your computers and change your profile.

Manual key generation

Automatic registration with activation code does not work for offline computers.

In this case you can generate the key manually:

1. Enter Helicon Help Desk ( more details >> )

2. Select the appropriate license
3. Enter your Workstation ID
4. Generate the key.
5. Save *.hky file in the folder with Helicon Filter/Focus (Windows only)
or copy 4 lines of the key to the clipboard and paste it into registration dialog :

Offline computers: Copy 4 lines of the key to the clipboard and paste it to text editor and save the key as a text file on the floppy/flash/CD disk. Then open the file on the offline computer and copy the key into registration dialog of the Helicon Focus or Helicon Filter

If you for some reason cannot activate your program online and you cannot generate the key manually in Helicon Help Desk, please request the key via email support@heliconfilter.com .

Troubleshooting / Q&A

Q: What is activation code?

All our customers are registered in the online Helicon Help Desk. Each customer has unique, random activation code. This code is used to identify the customer. When you enter activation code to the registration dialog of Helicon Filter or Helicon Focus, the program send request to our database and receives the registration key for given computer.

Q: What is Workstation ID and where it can be found?

Helicon products use hardware dependent keys, otherwise the keys are published in the internet. Workstation ID is a unique identifier of the computer hardware. To manually generate the key you need to know your Workstation ID. It can be found in Registration dialog (older versions), or in the About box (menu->Help->About)

Q: My program becomes unregistered. Why?

Most probably you've made hardware update or changed partitions on your hard drive. Do not worry, use your activation code to register the program again.
