Barch processing in X64 version

Post by MichaelMaggs »

Hi

I can't see how to do batch processing in the Pro X64 version on the Mac. There is nothing in the help files. Am I missing something obvious?

Michael,

Sorry, batch processing is only available in Windows version. We may add this in the future, I would appreciate if you give us more details, how you would like to use batch functionality. BTW, you may see the video tutorinal (http://www.heliconsoft.com/video.html) how batch processing is implemented in Windows version.

That's really disappointing, especially as I have just spent US$135 upgrading From Helicon Focus Lite to the Pro X64 version purely for that reason! So far as I can see there is no warning on the website that there is less functionality in the Mac version than advertised. The website says simply that the Pro (and the X64 Pro) version includes a "Batch mode to process multiple image stacks or the same stack with different parameters"

My reason for wanting batch processing is that it often takes quite a bit of experimentation with different parameters to get the optimal results with macro images. Now that I have a fast Mac, I'd like to be able to queue several different parameter selections and leave the computer to crunch through them all without having to sit at the screen and do them one by one.

I do hope that you will be able to add this soon to the Mac version, especially as the Mac is really the computer of choice for much serious image-processing work.

Regards

Michael,

We plan to add this functionality into Mac version. We can also make you a refund if you like. Please note that this upgrade also gives you more performance and more functions (retouching, Helicon Remote, 3D Viewer).

I've looked at the video of the way this is implemented in the Windows version and it's really great. Can't wait for the Mac version to catch up!

best regards

I would like to echo the disappointment in discovering that batch processing is (still) not available in the mac version. Processing hundreds of stacks one at a time is not much fun. I still want 64 bit capability, so will stick with the pro version, but it really should be given the same functionality as the windows version.

hallo
for my project gigapan-portraits it would be great to have batch processing on mac.

To get a better DOF I would like to stack 3 pictures before I stich them together.

Best process would be to add the 450 picture an tell the helicon to stack groups of 3 pictures. Which makes 150 stacked pix at the end.

Let me know when you are ready

We are working on the new version which will have the same functionality as Windows version. We plan to publish it in spring. Let us know if you want to be beta tester and get this new version among the first.
