It's working fine.

You can use this method too. If you press Ctrl and draw a line on Resize tab it will work the same way. We will make this functonality more evident.

I wish, the for the next version there would be a HF remote plugin, that would run on a more mobile device
so that you can take it out in the field.

Something like a little netbook, even an iPhone or a Nokia N900 (tablet phones)

The important factors here is flexibility, portability

The ability to set, your front focus and your back focus - verify this somehow.
Calculate the shots required and then run the camera, there obviously needs to be
some sort of communication to the camera, this is where I see being the biggest
problem. Though many of the Tablet phones, have some sort of mini-usb connection.

I went out with my own laptop today, and its cumbersome, the screen is sh*t - hard to see, without some sort of hood, in particular in the Australian sun, its heavy, drains the batteries sooner then later (as in too soon).

So, I am sure if you are a landscape or outdoor photographer you would appreciate this.

Thanks for the suggestion. We are working with camera through manufacturer's SDK and they are available only for Mac and Windows.

how about windows based phones? I guess it would need to be supported by the manufactures.

Have you had a look at this guys stuff, porting a Nintendo DS http://www.gizmag.com/nintendo-ds-digit ... ler/14746/ just a bit of food for thoughts.

In order to get the best focus through the whole scene, in particular with long lenses, you really need to have the help of the Helicon Remote. Carrying around on a 2-4Kg laptop in the field isn't fun! though it looks like I will have to deal with it over the weekend and hope that I can charge it via the 12v in the car.

anyway I will keep you informed, it is definately an application that would be suited to smaller devices, also if you have a look at the this guy at www.Autopano.net using python to use the Nokia tablet phones as Pano Robot controllers for the Merlin heads.

Thanks for the links and info. We are willing to move in this direction but we are limited by manufacturer's SDKs so far.

My wishlist for Helicon Filter would be:
1) Detachable & enlargeable histogram. I find the current one too small to see in detail
2) A Fill Light slider for the brightness area of the program
3) Improved Red Eye tool that would only effect the red colours rather than everything.

Thanks for your suggestions, we will try to implement them in the next version. You can switch the vertical size of the histogram right now, the icon is in the top right corner.

Right now HF 5 reverts the Tree view back to the root directory every time a change is made to the Tree outside of HF 5. I'd like to see HF 5 remember the last folder used or have the option of "Favorites" Folders, similar to FastStone and ACDSee Photo Manager 12. Or am I missing something? Thanks.

We will check this. Actually you can create favorites folders but withing Helicon Photo Safe. After that favorite folders will be also visible in HF.

Hi, I am new here and don't know if my suggestion was asked before.

I would love to see the HDR function in HF5 and later versions like it was in HF4. It would be a very nice feature that I really like to use but can't find in HF5 any more.

I'm so glad that I bought HF5Pro, for me the best Software out there to get my Photos from RAW as I like to have. Straightforward with an awesome Noise Reduction included.
