Helicon Remote and Canon 40D not working
Helicon Remote and Canon 40D not working
I just installed the latest copy of Helicon Focus (5.2.3) on my machine. When I try to use Helicon Remote, I get the message about Remote not able to find my camera. In addition, my camera keeps saying it is busy and I cannot do anything with it unless I power it off. Are you aware of this issue and how am I to resolve it? Your prompt response to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Re: Helicon Remote and Canon 40D not working
Thanks for you feedback. Please try again and then go to Helicon Remote menu\Report a bug and send a note from them. Log file will help us to understand the problem. You can also try earlier version of Helicon Remote, included into previous version of Helicon Focus: http://www.heliconsoft.com/downloads/He ... 5.1.19.exe
Re: Helicon Remote and Canon 40D not working
I have sent my files to you for analysis. I hope you can solve the problem quickly.
I have another question.
I work in the field with my camera and computer where there is no Internet connection. Is the program able to create an error report onto my hard-drive when I have a problem and send it when I have an Internet connection ?
Thanx

This is not possible but what "Report a bug" feature actually does is sending a log file from your disk. So if you have a crash in the fields, copy log file
(on Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\[YOUR USERNAME]\Local Settings\Application Data\Helicon\Common
on Windows 7/Vista:
C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Helicon\Common
on Mac OS X:
/Users/[YOUR USERNAME]/Library/Application Support/Helicon/Common)
to some safe place and send it later to us.
