Hi,
I use HR with a 1DMkIII an a Canon 100 2.8 Macro. The Objetive is in AF Mode. I set up the focus points (i hope i do that the right way) and star shootin but all images have only the near focus point. Waht are my mistakes. Can You help please.
Thanks, best regards
Frank

Frank,
If understand right, the program makes steps from the interface but does not move focus when you start shooting the stack, right? I would appreciate if you send us remote_control.log from the Helicon Focus folder and HeliconRemote.ini from application data folder (seach for the file, location of the folder depends on the Window version)
I would appreciate if you make the test with different lens.

Re: Images has the same focal point
Hi Frank,
I have the same problem with my 50D and the EF 100 2.8 macro, but only when I use HR in 'manual shoot' mode. In the auto shoot mode the focus steps work fine. One thing you might notice is that when you use the 'return to nearest focus point' HR does not always come back to the right spot, I usually just fine tune it again and then start the auto shooting from there.
BTW take a look at the other posts I made in this section. Note that Stas has added the exit Live View between shots for Canon, which lets us use non Canon flash, remote slaves etc. This works fine.
There is still a problem with having Mirror Lock on though. HR will go into spasms if you have this set.

Re: Images has the same focal point
Brian,
We added one more option to fix the problem with Mirror Lock up. I am not sure it is already in the version 5.0.4, but we are going to publish newer 5.0.5 tomorrow. I would appreciate if you test it.

Thanks Stas, will test it ASAP
Has it been uploaded?
Hi Stas,
the download page still has the date showing as 17/11, has 5.0.5 been released yet?
