Nikon D850

Post by GertK »

Hi there,
the Nikon D850 features "focus shift" but only for AF-S and AF-P lenses. I use the Nikkor 200/4 which is an AF-D model.

Please support this camera for those who do not use the newer lenses for macro.

Thank you so much and best regards

If by focus shift you mean the built-in focus stacking feature, Helicon Remote doesn't support that yet. And if it will support this feature, it will be bound by the same restriction.
However, Helicon Remote's "classic" focus stacking will work with any supported body and any AF lens.

Hi,
thank you for responding.
In fact, I do not mean the internal function in the camera.

I want to use the "normal" way via helicon remote as usual with the D810.
But when I connect the camera, helicon tells me that D850 is not a supported camera.
Maybe the software is taking the name of the camera and does not find it in the list of supported cameras. I think there was no change in the sdk for the D850, just the name changed.

Best regards,
Gert
