Helicon Remote and Nikon 810

Post by atrawka »

Is Helicon Remote installed on Android (Samsung S5) can cooperate with the Nikon 810? Do I need any additional accessories?

You need the same cable you use for downloading photos from the phone plus a USB OTG adapter:

Thank you very much for your answer. This solution is also ok, but is it possible wireless connection between the camera Nikon 810 and the smartphone Samsung S5?

Yes, you can use the Nikon WT module (WT-4 or WT-5).

What exactly is that cable ("the same cable you use for downloading photos")? Can you point me to a link on Amazon? I have the camera but not the cable (I always download images by taking the card out of the camera.)

Thanks,

Scott

Can you provide a link to a sample cable used for downloading photos (maybe an Amazon product page)? I only ever download pictures by taking the memory card out of the camera and putting it into a card reader. I can find a USB OTG adaptor, but I don't know the right cable.

Thanks

You received one with the camera. For D810 it's a micro USB plug to USB A plug. Example (the price is way too high but you get the idea): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EK87T9M/?r ... +USB+cable

Alternatively, you can get a USB 3 micro to regular cable because D810 is USB 3-capable: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-USB ... SB+3+cable

Buy a shorter one to avoid problems, 2 meters maximum.
