Canon 5Ds with NEXUS 7

Post by KBStudio »

I have successfully use Helicon Remote and my NEXUS 7 to control my Canon 5D Mark II, USB 2.0 to USB 2.0 with a OTG connector. Will this work with the new 5Ds and its USB 3.0 connection? Or is there and adapter or way to get a USB 2.0 device to see a USB 3.0 device?

USB 3.0 and 2.0 are completely compatible, so that won't be an issue. You'll probably need a different cable - one that will come with 5Ds, but that's it.

Thanks Stas. Helicon Remote will be compatible with the 5DS? This camera seems to be a 5D MIII on steriods.

Of course, we'll support the camera shortly before or shortly after the release.

It is supported by the latest version of Helicon Remote for all platforms, except iPad (we didn't release the update for it yet but it's coming soon).
