I accepted to run the update from v. 5.3.7 X64 to v 6. The update downloaded and installed, but when I attempted to run it I am met with the error:
*******************************
HeliconFocus.exe - Application Error
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000tb).
Click OK to close the application.
*******************************
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling v6 and it still refuses to run.
v5.3.7 X64 works fine.
So far I've only done the update on my laptop and have not yet installed it on my desktop system.
The laptop is running Windows 8.1 - 64bit using an SSD drive and 16 GB Ram. The processor is an Intel i3 with integrated HD4000 graphics.
Thanks for any help in getting this to run.

HeliconFocus.exe - Application Error
Re: HeliconFocus.exe - Application Error
Seems something very similar affected Adobe Lightroom:
http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/err ... 0007b.html
Might the same fix work with HF v6?
ie: copy the appropriate msvcr100.dll and msvcr80.dll files to the Helicon Focus install folder?

Re: HeliconFocus.exe - Application Error
Well golly gee whiz --- it worked !!!
I reinstalled v 6.2.2 and the same error occurred again when trying to launch it. When I checked its install folder I saw that msvcr100.dll and msvcr80.dll did not exist.
Not expecting it to work, I copied the msvcr100.dll and msvcr80.dll versions downloaded from the Adobe site into the C:\Program Files\Helicon Software\Helicon Focus 6 folder and the application then loaded properly, I entered my registration info and now everything is working properly.
This might already be a known issue by your support team but I seem to have resolved it successfully on my own.

Re: HeliconFocus.exe - Application Error
Thanks for the tip! We will check why those files are required by the program.
