Support for Fujifilm X-pro 1

Hey,

Just trying to convert Fujifilm x-pro 1 RAF files into tiffs using dcraw (updated the underlying files) and I am getting roughly half of the resolution of the raw files as tiffs.

I should say also that I have purchased the full version.

Note also that I had to install the latest version of dcraw over the top in order to support the x-pro 1.

I have been looking through the exif data for the raf files and it seems like helicon is picking up the thumbnail size maybe and not the raw pixel dimensions.

Thanks for the test files. Yes, Exif information shows wrong dimentions bug the file itself is opened in full resolution (16Mpx). The problem is that we use two different modules to get exif data and to develop RAW files. We know about this bug and we already have plans for a solution.

I am not sure it will be in the next update but in a few weeks this will be fixed. Please note that only information is not correct, the file itself is opened correctly.

Yeah I understand the file is being opened correctly.

I am going to hold off converting my raw images as currently when I convert with helicon filter and import into lightroom the information displayed is incorrect (resolution).

I would rather have everything perfect

Any updates in terms of progress in fixing this issue?

A lot of x-pro 1 users are looking for alternative raw conversion (adobe's raw engine results in artifacts) so with multithreaded dcraw in helicon filter I think you have a winner.

Happy to provide free publicity via twitter etc once it is fixed.

I noticed that a new version 5.0.28 is out.

I haven't had any luck in successfully converting the x-pro 1 raw files to tiff (without a loss in resolution).

Try to use different RAW converter in the Preferences of Helicon Filter. If this does not help please send your RAW file to our ftp server as described at http://www.heliconsoft.com/ftp.html

I don't know how I made it work, but switching between adobe converter and back to dcraw seemed to help.

I now get full resolution tifs.
