HELICON PHOTO CONTEST: We are looking for great stacks

Post by nata »

We open a contest for interesting stacks. The FIRST place gets a FREE UNLIMITED licence for Helicon Focus 5 + Helicon Remote. The SECOND place gets a 50% discount for the programs, the THIRD prize gets a 30% discount.

The stacks will be used in video tutorials on Helicon Focus and Helicon Remote. The copyright information will be preserved and everyone will be able to see the names of the authors and links to their galleries/websites.

The stacks should result in beautiful images which demonstrate the power of the focus stacking technique. If some retouching is needed on a stacked image it is ok, it can even be a benefit, since we are planning to create a video tutorial on retouching in Helicon Focus.

If you would like to participate, please submit stacked images in this topic. The contest ends on the 15th of June.

I already have the unlimited license. Would it be possible to participate to give a copy to another person?

Hello,
I have been using Helicon Focus for about 6 months now and this is one of my first attempts, a stack of 14 shots of a Fringe Lily, Thysanotus multifloris.

WOW, rather quiet on this thread :( such a pity, it could really add to the eductaion of the photographic masses.

Can I add just another example of a "still" specimen. A 2cm reverse sceptre amethyst crystal from Harts Ranges, NT Australia.

Great product guys :D

Here is a stack of a recent event. Cicada's are emerging in our neighborhood. The stack was made with 10 frames taken outdoors using Helicon Remote via a netbook tethered to the camera.

How do you take a stack of a live hornet? I'm pleased when I can get a single frame of a bee, hornet, wasp, butterfly, or dragonfly. None of those insects sit still for very long in my experience. Great shot BTW
