First of all let me say that Helicon Focus is an amazing tool! And the tech support and customer service (Danylo) is also great.
Looking over the forums I see lots of very nice images of various insects. But I use Helicon Focus for another purpose. I build and photograph miniature models.
Here are some of my initial experiments with Helicon Focus. Using it I discovered a limitation of my camera (Nikon Coolpix 8700). It focuses using a stepper motor. At extreme closeups the focus steps are quite large. So even with the smallest apperture I end up with areas which are slightly out of focus after combining the images. But to me this is still so much better than a photo with a just single focal point.
Here is one of my models. Due to my camera's limitation I use a stack of only 5 images.
