Artifacts

Post by haraldmuc »

I have stack with 48 shots in Raw (f 3.2). After processing the files you can see many artifacts, I have tried all three available methods with different settings für radius and smoothing but no luck so far. Does anyone have an idea what goes wrong here?

Please upload your stack to our server (as described at http://www.heliconsoft.com/ftp-server/).
If you are user of GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive or other cloud service, you can upload your files there and send us a link.

You probably mean blurred area on the edge of white crystals? This is mostly due to optical effect. I would recommend to decrease aperture to f8 or f11 to minimize this effect. This will also help to remove blurred areas which appear because focused areas do not overlap sufficiently.

From our tests, method C gives best results for the current stack.
