Blurry Macro

Post by LauraMacky »

Hello there,

I'm new to Helicon and am excited about the possibilites. I've taken two different shots using the Helicon remote and my D750 with a 105mm lens. I can't figure out why parts of my image are still blurry. For position "A" I chose the center of the rose and for position "B" I chose the back part of the rose where it means the green leaf.

I used the default settings and used depth map in the helicon software to render the photo.

Anybody have any suggestions for me?

I suspect that your focus range does not cover the flower completely. The nearest petal is clearly out of focus, it looks like it is closer than the center of the rose.

You can you dof calculator from the Helicon Remote to estimate dof for given lens, camera, distance and aperture.
