Have you tried to create 3D models by the latest Helicon Focus (win) ?

No I don't have the latest version yet so haven't tried the 3D yet. I've seen it on Youtube. Can you orient the subject the way you want and then capture a 2D image? This would be useful for the type of work I do.

If I understood you right: yes, you can rotate the object manually and save a snapshot.
