I can't find anything in the manual about the 'Method' option in Parameters,.
The hint boxes mention, Single pass using weighted average , Double pass using depth map.

Can someone explain what the effective difference / when to use of these are?

I've found only A is useful for my jewellery work.

Also posts mention opacity maps but I can't find this either. ?

Lastly I'm trialling the Pro version, am I able to export / save individual stack images?

No, it is not possible to export individual stack images.
In Windows version it is possible to use Save web animation to export aligned images.

We plan to release new mac vesion with retouching brushesd in about a month.
