Turning over a board in the yard, my wife came across a clumped together group of 7 of these small salamanders. This one is about 90mm long. The photo was taken on a built up prop of forest duff and mossy log and bark chunks, in a 16" x 20" darkroom tray (yes there is still life for old chemical darkroom stuff! ). Lighting is a fluorescent shop lite with daylight balanced bulbs.

The salamander was extremely sluggish, coming in from outside on a chilly and cloudy day, so I was able to take 9 shots without any movement.
