Frames....Love Them!!!

Unread postby jimlarkey » 20.12.2006 03:28

I bought Helicon for the filters, but I am finding that the frames are outstanding. Frames is a constant recurring topic on many of the photo forums, many users not able to handle the framing techniques of PhotoShop, etc.

Don't be shy on adding additional frame features in upcoming updates/upgrades.

Cheers,
Jim

3-D that make the picture pop out instead of sink in might be nice. :D

Or how about two boxes of different solid colors around the picture?

You can now define the color of the frame and the color of the margin.

Is it what you need?

I've figured out how to do this before hand, but it doesn't always work perfectly and isn't quiet as easy to implement as other frames are.

Or how about artsy designs for a frame?

sloppy borders example

Sloppy borders migth be very difficult for the Helicon engineers (most likely they cannot do "sloppy" :) ). One example can be found here:

That's kind of what I'm talking about. Cool colors mixed in too. Helicon can do it!

;)

So you know how you can make the frame a blurred copy of the boarder of the image? How about making it so it can also be a blurred copy of the boarder of a smaller object in the picture? That would be good for making a nice frame that brings out a subject.

Frames are wonderfull !
People will enjoy that you make it so simple and funny!

(question: when adding text is there a way to make a second line of text without that much space in between ?)

The only way to add two lines with different space between then is to apply Tex tab twice (Go to Save tab and choose Apply more filters and add second text line)

It is not the best way, I know.

How about like solid color frames with designs (e.g. flowers, leaves, animals, boats) "engraved" in them? Or maybe double-layer 3D frames? (Like one small 3D frame, some depth (shadows, smaller inner size), and another small 3D frame, then the picture.)
