resizing options ; slider handling

Unread postby lutz » 27.11.2006 19:23

Just two unrelated suggestions:

I wouldlike to see an additional "resize" option especailly for batch applications: something like "fit into boundary box", where you could enter the maximum width and max height and the resized images would be proportianlly resized to not exceed any of these dimensions. This would be my preferred way of resizing for web-gallery applications since it would be usable for mixed portrait, landscape and oddly cropped images.

Slider handling by mouse-wheel: Have a look at bibble. It has a very convenient way to handle fine adjustment of the sliders by mouse-wheel. Just hovering over the slider and scroll the wheel.

Lutz,

Thanks for suggestions.

Resize: new 4.50 already have option to fit into boundary box.

Wheel: will check if we can do this. I like the idea.
Right now you can change _active_ slider (marked by green color) with Shift-Wheel.

""Resize: new 4.50 already have option to fit into boundary box.""

Great, I totally missed it.

""Right now you can change _active_ slider (marked by green color) with Shift-Wheel.""

Another option I did miss so far! (but who would want to use the SHIFT key all the time?)
