vibrance tool

Unread postby luc0815 » 26.02.2006 08:26

I have found a new kind of color tool in RawShooter quite helpful. It is called something like "vibrance" and is basically a gamma-like control for the saturation. The results are generally more naturally looking than increasing the saturation in general since it spares already highly saturated and neutral areas.

Thanks for your efforts!

I hope the term "vibrance" is not copyrighted. I have found a little bit more information here:

The official explanation sounds very much like marketing speek. I do not remember where I picked up the comparison to gamma but the effects seems to work this way.

I like the idea but not the implementation in the RSP.
I was not able to get good results with any of my raw files.

And thanks for the link!
