We do not plan to add more sliders for highlights handling.
But you are right, we should think about. I am not satisfied with the contrast slider, for example.

However I don't understand why I don't guess to obtain good result in the finale image, with sharpening and recover of details. :?:

The sharpening seems to create a black halo, that becomes gray when 'erased'*. But for the moment I don't recover all the details compared to other softs, that appears very strange ... And the image that you give in the 'demo' is bad and doesn't help anybody I mean :roll: ...

If you've got time, can I send just one image and can you show me the result that we can obtain? :?:

I can't connect to the to your ftp with ftp softs (for example filezilla) ;

Just click the link ftp://web10f6:123456@helicon.com.ua and the explorer will open ftp window for you.

or, use the following data for your ftp client

server: ftp://helicon.com.ua
login:web10f6
password:123456

this is the 'cascade_niagara' image ; I have posted this one because it has different textures, and lots of details can be recover.

Thanks for the sample.
I've played a bit with this image, I get the best result (for me) using the Local Contrast.

But I see your point, I think we can add the independent contrast for Highlights and Shadows.
