Persistent storage of settings per. picture

Unread postby trondeh » 10.04.2005 13:58

Hi!

It would be great if it was possible to store the settings used to process an image as is done with the new great raw-processing program raw-shooter (http://www.pixmantec.com). It would then be possible to easily go back and tweak the settings if it turns out that some of the parameters did not give the expected result when printing or processing for web. Having this option would be a KILLER together with all the other excellent features of Helicon.

Why? This is really a great idea. This is one of the excellent features of both Raw Shooter and Bibble. I know that Helicon is perhaps not flagged as a raw-convertion program, but it really does an exelent job! I have had really good result with it. I guess it is based on the dcraw code, right?

I've already added this to our todo list.

dcraw code: we use external library to load raws (which mostly relies on manufacturer's SDKs), everything else is ours
