Finer granularity for the controls 2.4b

Unread postby trondeh » 09.04.2005 13:37

Hi!

I would really appreciate having finer control. It seams that the steps are much to coarse to give the fine-tunig I require. Would it be possible to have finer steps please?

Regards

trondeh,

It is not a problem at all.
I think that 0-100 scale gives enough precision.
Which sliders do you mean?

Finer control of:

Noise:
The Ctrl-right/left-click gives too large steps, should be possible to ajust this.

Brightness:
Contrast - finer steps please
Local contrast - MUCH finer steps please!

The Auto Contrast gices too much. When selecting this option, it alsmost allways ruins the picture. The result is washed out hilights and too dark shadows.. Is this based on cliping hilight and shadows? If so, it should be possible to ajust the hilight and shadow point, as levels in Photoshop.

Crop/Resize:
The rotation should have finer steps. Are you using 360 steps today?

Best regards

You can use mouse wheel to change active slider, do you know this?

Ok, I will try to make them more sensitive.

There is always trade off between flexibility and simplicity of the user interface. I do not want to make interface too complicated.

Scroll, how?

Unread postby trondeh » 10.04.2005 13:34

If I try to select a slider and user the scroll, I can not see that scrolling have any function. It is only the rotate function that works with the scroll-wheel. Hm, what did I miss? How is this supposed to work for i.e. exposure or contrast?

Best regards
