D800 focus setting not responding

Unread postby garysevans » 20.08.2012 19:30

Hi guys,

I have the 2.5.5.m release of Helicon Remote, running on a MacBook in OS X 10.6.8. I am trying to use a Nikon D800 with 60mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor lens.

OK, so I fire up Remote, I get a live view image (which is pretty dark), but I can get an autofocus on the near point of my subject. But, when I try to use the buttons in the software to refocus to the far point, nothing happens.

I'm quite prepared to admit I'm doing something wrong if I am! Should I be in AF-C or AF-S, for example (I'm in AF-S)?

I love the idea of the software, I love the camera and the lens, so any help will be most gratefully received.

Cheers

Gary

Please reproduce the problem (i. e., strart Remote, wait for live view to activate and pres any focus movement button several times) and send us a report from Remote (Help->Report a bug).

Hello guys,

I have the same problem except with version 2.5.8.m of Helicon remote.
The camera and lens are the same. We tested the old AF lens and the new AFS lens.

Have you found a solution to this problem?

Regards,
Sara

Hello Sara,
Please reproduce the problem and send us a bug report from Remote so that we can see if it is indeed the same problem or not.
