Fuji HS10

Unread postby Cornwall David » 30.05.2010 18:08

Hi,
Firstly I must say I love the way Helicon Filter works!

I have a Fuji HS10 and am trying to work on the raw files from this camera. All the information from the RAF files displays but the software seems to process the 3.1mp embedded preview in the raw file rather than the actual raw file itself. Can you tell me if it is me doing something wrong or when the HS10 is likely to be added?

I think you will get a lot of users if you support the HS10 as the Silkypix software is horrible!!!!

Regards
David

Hi,
Thank-you. I have uploaded raw samples and the matching Jpeg in folder Fuji HS10 Raw Files. I see DCRAW now supports the HS10.

This camera needs a good raw converter like Helicon Filter. The more I try this the more I am amazed by the functions. :D

We are preparing new version of Helicon Filter with updated DCRAW and Adobe DNG converter. They will open your raw file in full resolution. Please wait a couple of days till the release.

When will there be an update. ? The error of RAF is still with V5 Beta. If not with DCRAW 9.04 .
Still the wrong resolution with 3MB instead of 10MB.

:(
The same problem with RAW from Fujifilm FinePix HS20EXR.
I upload archive with example of RAW-file (more exactly RAF-File) into:
ftp://heliconsoft.serveftp.com/Fujifilm ... 20HS20EXR/

Try the lastes version of the program. If DCRAW is used to open the image, it is opened in full resolution.

I try, but receive the same result - 3.1Mp 2048x1536; 24.11M RAF :(

5.0.17 trial
I try all RAW-format in Helicon Filter - the best result is: 1536x2048(3,1 Mp),
but in Adobe Lightroom - 4608x3456

At the title of the program you can see that actual resultion is 8Mp, that is the best result for now. 3.1Mp in the information is not correct because different RAW modules are used (DCRAW and embedded converter). The only thing we can suggest is to wait for newer versions of DCRAW or Adobe DNG Converter and hope that they will have better support for your RAW files.
