Lower Jpeg Quality

Unread postby tokrot » 06.04.2004 14:19

Hi, I decided to give this program a try and the result I would say is stunning. However, I discovered that the Jpeg pic saved tend to be different from the preview. It looks like a slight lower Quality jpeg. Does anyone notice that? Thanks..

Hi,

I just tried out the new version. The Jpeg quality still not fixed and other problem is that the output file seems to create twice as big file as original when set to 10 Jpeg quality.

We calibarate our output with Photoshop. Try to resave your original file from Photoshop with quality of 10 and you'll get the same file size as from Helicon NoiseFilter.

Have you set jpeg quality in Preferences?

Hi,

I have set the jpeg to 12/12 (100/100) quality and do a 20 and absolute value..

Look at the highlight output square box, there's a red dot in it.

after saving the file, the file size increased from 372k to 414k and the red dot seems to be disappeared as show different from the output preview..

Hope you got what I mean....

Hm.. I understand what you mean.
Try to save it as BMP and compare with JPEG.
