I'm using the following:
Canon 5D Mark IV
Helicon Remote / Android w/ a Google Pixel
Connected Wirelessly
1. Google Pixel Connects via Wifi to the Mark IV successfully.
2. Helicon Remote connects to Camera (automatically) successfully.
From there: Live View displays correctly through Helicon Remote. The image moves as I physically move the camera. All other functionality is greyed out, i.e. I can not take a photo. I can not focus. Eventually, the program proclaims that a timeout was reached while "waiting for the image from the camera". Cute.
I use Canon Camera Connect successfully with this phone and this camera. For reference, I deleted Canon Camera Connect.
Unfortunate and a huge waste of time so far - but perhaps there's some sort of simple explanation. I've done the power cycle on both the phone and camera numerous times and I've used multiple lenses and confirmed both were set to Auto Focus - if that matters.

Reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings in the camera body, select "EOS Utility" mode instead of Smartphone mode.
