Two new Remote problems

Post by MikeCT »

I am using the current version of Remote on a MacBook Air, running High Sierra, and have two problems. I am working with a Nikon 7100 with a Nikon 105 Macro lens. Lighting is from constant illumination LEDs.

First problem. During a shoot, the images cycle from bright to dark every 5-6 shots. The difference can be as much as the equivalent of two stops.

Second, just started. The image looks fine in Live View, or if I take a single image. However, Preview images, and those saved as a stack are black, with no image visible.

Helicon Remote does not manipulate live view image, except for the case of "Live view brightness increase" option enabled in the settings. So, whatever it is, the camera is doing it, not the program. I can't say what camera setting might be causing it.
The second issue is not an issue at all, you've just discovered that Nikon D7100 does not have live view exposure simulation (live view doesn't reflect the actual exposure).
