5D MKIII

Post by retinaphoto »

Hi,
I have a problem with Helicon Remote capturing one end of the focus bracketing range.

System:
Macintosh MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan [10.11.3]
Helicon Remote 3.6.5 M
Canon 5D MK III [various lens's]

I've tried all the variations that I can think of [to infinity, to camera, auto DOF selected unselected, with preview, without preview, review turned on and off on the camera etc.]

HR will focus correctly, record the nearest and furthest point within the interface and tt will travel to the furthest and nearest points when the arrows next to A & B are used. At the time of capture, start shooting, it will only record one end of the range and the middle. The result is that it will start OK but the last point is beyond the selected focus point, totally blurred out.

Any suggestions?

Regards
Steve

Hard to say. It could be a mechanical issue with the lens, but first, go to the camera body menu and disable image review (quick review).
