Helicon Remote wont activate on Android device

Hi,
New user and an old dude, so I'm probably doing something wrong.
Just downloaded Helicon Remote to my HTC One (Android 5.0.2) with a view to connecting it to my Nikon D800 DSLR camera.
Have all the correct cables, OTR and USB from the camera, but when I try to activate the App, it comes up momentarily on the phone's screen then disappears.
I've checked the camera settings and all appear as per the manual.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Please open Google Play and make sure there's no update available for Helicon Remote. This sounds like an issue that we've fixed a week or so ago.
If you do have the latest version of the app already, then please check it will open up normally when no camera is connected.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The version I downloaded says v3.6.6 and was updated on Feb 18 2016.

The app wont load with the camera not corrected either.

I've just tried it, the link is valid and points to the APK file. Not sure what the problem is.
