I am only really starting to use the product and attempt my first focus stack as a friend loaned me his Canon 100 mm macro lens. My issue is therefore most likely user error.
In the test setup I tried using the Android version connected to my Canon 5D Mk III with aperture at F2.8, I set near and far focus point, let the software calculate the shots and take the pictures. Watching it as the shots were taken, and in the final images, the focus point did not seem to move far, if at all, from the near focus point.
I then repeated the exact same test with the aperture at F8, it calculated the same number of images, and as the shots were taken, the focus point could be seen to move and the final images also showed a movement in focus point. When moved to Helicon Focus they stacked wonderfully.
Went back and tried the F2.8 with the same results as before.

Hello,
Not sure how it's related to the aperture, but this error is usually solved by disabling image review (quick review) in the camera body settings.
