vexta and trinamic

Post by eugenik »

Hello,
I Helicon Remote 3.5.1 with stepper motor VEXTA 0.05 ° / step and driver Trinamic TMCM-110-42. Motor driver works well, there is no problem.
But: The motor has 7200 steps / 1 revolution. But I have to set up 18440 steps in Helicon Remote to be full revolution. Which is probably a mistake, I do not understand why?
Please advise. Eugen

I don't know what Vexta is, and I definitely don't know what's the deal with step size. Apparently, these are different steps. Sorry, but I can't give you any better answer. The program just tells the driver to perform the required number of steps, that's all.

Thank you for the answer.
VEXTA C9845-9012KGM motor is 1.8 ° / step. 200 steps per revolution.
Transmission 36: 1, giving 0.05 ° / step on the shaft. Then the total number of full steps is 7200 / revolution. MICROSTEPS in a row 1,2,4,8,16,32,64 makes no 18440 microsteps per revolution.
As I got to the number 18440? Sorry.
Thank you

Sorry, but I can't give you any better answer. This is between Trinamic controller and the motor. We tell the controller to make the number of steps that equals [the number you requested] x [the step size in Preferences -> Trinamic].
