Nikon D800 and Remote for iOS and Android

Post by nikidinov »

Hello!
I have just downloaded and tried Remote for iOS and Android.
Both don't recognise the camera - Nikon D800.
iPad 3 and Samsung Galaxy duo.
On my iMac it is working.
Any piece of advice what to try?

How did you connect it? On Android, you can use a USB cable same as with iMac (with a USB OTG addapter, naturally). For iPad you need Wi-Fi, which means Nikon WT-4 wireless transfer module.

On Android I use what you said.
For iPad I tried with iPad Camera Connection Kit and USB cable.

It won't work that way on iPad. As for Android - see this FAQ entry: http://www.heliconsoft.com/faq-helicon- ... t_detected

So I've tried with another Android phone and it working, but not working with my phone. USB Host Check detects two problems but can't fix them.

It can only fix them if the phone is rooted. Bottom line - that phone doesn't have USB host support.
