Support via wifi for the new Canon M3?

What you can do is find out if there's any remote control software that works with this camera, and if there is - what functions are available (live view, focus adjustment etc.).

I know that the Canon app wil be able to control the camera; do you think this will open possibilities?

The only way to find out is to ask someone who has this camera to test it with Helicon Remote and see if the connection can even be established.
