black images with remote

Hi, I just purchase pro version today and remote is producing black images. The live preview works fine; just the images are black. I have it tethered to a d7100.

Your camera's exposure settings must be wrong. Live view does not at all reflect actual exposure on Nikon D7100. Use the "Fast preview" function to gauge exposure.

Ugh. Sorry for my noobness. I also read here that someone got the WU-1A to work with remote. I followed along and have been unsuccessful. The post was from over a year ago. Any chance you know of any step by step instructions?

No, sorry, we don't have instructions for it. But the general steps are:
- set up Wu-1 to be a hotspot and connect to it;
- find out the Wu-1's IP address, open Helicon Remote, got to Network Cameras and add a new camera (select Nikon WT as type and specify the module's IP address);
- connect Remote to this new camera by clicking it in the list of available cameras ("Select a camera" button).
