NIKON D5000 and Samsung Galaxy S3 tablet no pics saved

Post by Janno »

I do use a NIKON D5000 and a Samsung Galaxy S3 tablet.

I installed Helicon Remote, and all seems to work. The camera is recognised, all settings can be changed, preview works, and taking a picture seems to work.

However, no picture is saved, neither on the camera's SD-card or on the tablet.

How to solve this problem?

D5000 cannot save images to its internal SD card when controlled remotely, so it can only be downloaded to the tablet and stored there. Could it be that you simply didn't find the photos? Go to Helicon Remote settings (the gear button) -> Image saving and see what folder is set for saving images. You can alter the folderto whatever you desire.
If you're sure no images are created in that folder, then please make a shot and send a bug report (Menu -> Feedback -> Report a bug).

Thank you for the quick answer.
It's even weirder: the photo's are saved at the tablet, however: I just got an empty picture (only a border without any graphical info.
Unfortunately I deleted all those "empty" pictures, but I'll make some new ones,
and send you some.
MAy take a day or so, other things to do first.
