D600 and Activate live view when taking a shot = No

Post by kvitaliy »

Hi!
I'm triyng trial version of Helicon Remote and this is greate tool.
Also i can't disable turning on Liveview on D600 (lens in M/A and body in M mode with autofocuse) between shots. Am i right and it could be disabled by setting Activate live view when taking a shot to "No"?

Thanks!

You are right. Although, you might need to fully disable autofocus everywhere in the camera body for it to work.

After disabling autofocus in the camera body software told me "The lens is in the manual focusing mode. ..." The lens is Nikon AF-S VR II Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G.
Also operation system is Win7 pro x64.

It doesn't make a disticnction between AF being disabled in the camera body or the lens, it just checks whether AF is available or not. We should probably clarify the message.
