With my Nikon D7000, I can only use Helicon Remote exposure bracketing if I have set Manual Exposure mode on the camera. If I have set Av mode, I will get a message saying "Please switch to manual mode...".
Another way to do this could be to allow any exposure mode (Av, Tv etc - of which Av is most important) and let HR do the bracketing offset with the "ev" (exposure value compensation) feature instead. It allows for +/- 5 ev in 0.5 ev steps. I suggest that the user set "ev" value will be used as a start value, and the bracketing will done referring to that value. An error message would only be needed if the usable "ev" value scale is exceeded.
This would be a great feature when the camera is out of reach, like having it on top of a mast, and you cannot switch to manual mode in order to shoot some HDR pictures.
Thanks
Ragge

"Manual Exposure mode on the camera"
I'm having the same issue. How do you set manual exposure mode on the camera for the D7000?

Turn the wheel on the top of camera body to M position.
