I am having difficulty getting focus on the furthest point. While I focus prior to shooting, I feel I have reached the proper setting. Granted this subject lacks a lot of detail. When in live view trying to focus, the image is vastly over exposed, aperture not stopped down as it would be during exposure which makes it very difficult to focus. When I think I have set the proper nearest and farthest focus point I will take a fast preview shot which looks good, but my end result is not so. I have attempted this with two different lenses. 60mm Nikon Micro 2.8 and 90mm Tamron 2.8 (which this shot was taken with). I am using a Nikon D700 and a constant light source. Would appreciate any pointers.

Re: Live view exposure
Please check that your lens performs focusing commands properly. See Helicon Remote help about DOF calculator calibration, I would recommend to perform such a test.
