I cannot finish long stack sequences because the use of live view is killing the batteries in my D700. Plus, I'd like to focus through the viewfinder if I could, as the on screen live view is just hard to really see. How do I disable live view in Helicon Focus?
Thanks!,

Re: Disable live view for Nikon cameras
I will check with developers if this is possible. The problem is that we need to turn on live view when making focusing steps and when making shots. Otherwise steps are ignored and shots are made with autofocus.
I would appreciate if you give mode details about your work. How long are your stacks? You use timelapse or focus bracketing? You can contact us directly via support@heliconsoft.com if you prefer.

We will do our best to optimize it for long sequences.

I know it is another piece of equipment, but adding an external power supply or a battery grip for either a D700 or D7000 is not all that expensive and would get you through the sequences. Just a thought.
