Hello,

my D300s is controled by Capture Control 2.7 and by NKRemote as you proposed it to test... but Helicon Remote 1.11 beta doesn't see it.
Could you help for that ?

The program does not detect the camera if you use "USB mass storage" mode in your camera. Please switch to PTP instead of USB mode, this should help.

Thanks for your quick answer.
Unfortunately, D300S is, like D90, built with PTP mode by default and no way to change it.
Please note that NKRemote works well with my D300S, and Camera Control Pro2 does too.
But the test program (NikonSamplePrograms.zip) you have proposed to Chaos1 doesn't work (There is no Source object).

Any other proposal ?

My D5000 isn't detected either and there is no USB storage mode. What now???

D300s and D5000 should be supported by the software but we did not have a chance yet to test those cameras. The bug will be fixed soon.

Thanks for your mail and version, but, hélas, same result as before.
I have registered new dll (regsvr32 /s remoteControl.dll) and replaced exe (1.12 beta from january 6th).

If there is any log file, please indicate it, I'll send it to you.

You may try to copy all modules from Camera Control Pro (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nikon\Camera Control Modules\) to Helicon Remote folder. Maybe our program miss some files and this could help.

remote_control.log can be found in Helicon Remote folder or user data folder, common subfolder. Use search because it is different on different OS

I also have a Nikon 300s and can't get the camera to come up in the remote software.

I'm anxious for updates and will keep an eye on this thread!

I was also very surprised that my D300 was not found by Helicon Remote!
One of the reasons I bought Helicon Focus was the promise that Remote works with my camera.

I tried it with PTP before-no way. Maybe I try to update the firmware of my D300?
Should the camera be switched to Live view?

We are preparing new version now. It will be published in a couple of days. Please in case of errors send us log file created by Helicon Remote. You can find it in Helicon Remote, "Preferences\Tools\Log of current session". If the Helicon Remote does not start, you can find it in c:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Helicon\Common\remote_control.log
on Windows 7 and Vistat, where [USER] is your name

On XP it will be c:\Documents and Settings\Helicon\Local Settings\Application Data\Helicon\Common\
