Focus Stacking

Post by Freelancer »

Hi Guys, I am little confused regarding focus stacking (shifting the focus within your lens)
and Focus stacking (moving the actual camera and lens to focus)
Helicon has "Helicon FB Tube" that moves the focus point multiple times to stack,
or a motor to do the same but a different way.

Which is best ?

many thanx
and a happy new to you all :D

Both moving the camera and refocusing works well. Rails are usually used for extreme macro, while Helicon FB Tube is more suitable for macro and field photography. Helicon Remote can also do focus bracketing by tethering camera, this method is slower though.
