Batch change file dates

Unread postby dogcatcher » 05.03.2014 11:05

I import from several cameras or cards and from the PC itself. I don't understand the file dating method in Photo Safe, I though that I had it set to a default but though all files are Year Mm Dd I seem to have a series of either points, underscores and hyphens within the date.
Is there a tool to rename all the files to a standard (Personally I prefer the hypen) and is there a way to make Photo Safe stick to just one method.
It's maybe that the updates to this programme that have reset it.

BTW "Use Calendar to Find Images" link in PS Help doesn't go anywhere.

Thanks for your report. Yes, you can select all images in the folder, right click and Rename them all using different template.

When using Import next time, change Preferences to use proper naming template.
