Way to Batch Export Selected?

Unread postby rhizome » 01.01.2014 20:16

Is there a way to batch Export certain photos at a particular size in Photo Safe?

So far, I've been copying the originals to a separate folder, then using Quick Edit to save to 800x600. Or opening in IrfanView or Gimp and resizing. This works for one photo at a time but this isn't as quick as the "batch export selected" in Picasa that I don't want to use.

Or is Batch Export possible through another Helicon product i.e. Filter?

Yes, there is no Resize option in QuickEdit, maybe it is worth adding it. Or something like batch resize command.

Right now you can open QuickEdit, apply Helicon Filter preset there (Resize to 1024 px or your own preset) and then apply these changes to all files in the folder.

Alternatively, you can edit one file in Helicon Filter and then apply the changes to all files in the folder there.

I think having a Batch export in Photo Safe is essential in order to be a complete organizer solution.

Also a "tray" in which to group the chosen photos to export would be really helpful.

Ok, thanks. Instead of tray you can enable two panel mode and copy images for export into separate folder or virtual folder. Unlike the tray, you can use many such collections and keep them for future use.

Ok, thanks. I've started to do that (copying to an export folder.) By the way, I like the basic crop and rotation adjustments in Quick Edit. And the auto backup of the original file.

Here's hoping the batch export function will be added soon.

Really liking the pro version for search!

Just one final item to make it the perfect organizer: Batch Export. Will this be incorporated any time soon?
