Can't open/run program.

I have opened and used my Photo Safe when first installed a few weeks ago. Now, when I try to Open or Run as Administrator or double-click the icon I get the Helicon logo only and then nuthin'. When I Run as Administrator, the logo comes up, then my prompt from IE: "Do you want to allow the following program," but never an error message.

I've looked through the forum and haven't found any similar issue.

I downloaded the latest version of Photo Safe a few days ago. It ran once only. Further attempts to start the app resulted in the splash logo and nothing else, there wasn't even a process I could kill in Task Manager. The only way to clear the logo was to restart the computer. Uninstalled and re-installed the app several times with the same result.

I am considering purchasing Helicon Focus but this issue with your Photo Safe software is making me reconsider. Am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit to SP1 on an overclocked Intel i5-2500K CPU with 8 GB RAM. Would like to get this working to assess it before possibly buying Focus, so come on guys what can you suggest?

New install of HPS after recommendation by a friend. When it launches, immediately throws an application error about heliconupdate.exe 0xc0000142. Click OK, try to update from within program and get the same error.

Same thing. Uninstalled, reinstalled as admin, same results.

I installed Helicon Photo Safe 2.5 and I get the following errors down below in quotes but it dont have quotes when I run program and I click ok and get the next error and it still wont open. No other Helicon applications are open when I try to run the program when I get the errors. Please help and thank you for your time.

"Please close other Helicon applications and try again."
"Error when trying to use the database"
