Resolution saving

Hi I'm new to this, but I'm having a problem where I import 7 pictures to stack the focus on. they're being imported at approx 2900x2900 and when I render them and then save them, im coming out with a picture that is approx 750x750, and its visual is completely unacceptable for my purposes. I have to be doing something wrong. can someone help?
I'm taking the pictures on my phone with a galaxy s6 with an attached 37mm macro lens, I know, not the best. but the picture quality is very good for a phone. until I stack in the program and save it again. goes in nice, comes out looking like a potato.
Help please?
