Export TIFF filename defaults to Untitled

The recent 3 or 4 builds of Helicon Focus 6 seems to have an issue when you try to export a stack to TIFF. It used to base the target file name on the source file names with the method and radius / smoothing encoded in the file name like so:

2013-12-22_10-10-52 M=B R=8 S=4.tif

but I get 99% of the time the target file name defaulted to Untitled.tiff

We failed to reproduce this bug so far. Please send us one of the source images and information about your OS version.

Mac OS X 10.9.1. This happened on earlier versions too.

I add the two files by dragging / dropping them on to Helicon Focus' canvas area. I click Restore defaults then render. Once done I click the Saving tab then Save...

I get the file name Untitled as per attached.

This has only been an issue for me since upgrading to OS X10.9.1 (Mavericks). [Helicon Focus 6.0.18]. If I import images to Helicon Focus using the File, Open images dialog in the menu bar, then the output file is sometimes correctly named. If the output file is "Untitled" and I then leave Helicon Focus open and import another stack, again using the File, Open images dialog in the menu bar, the output file is then correctly named. Puzzling, indeed.

I always drag / drop the images on the canvas of the app.

Many thanks, we will try different ways to open stacks, maybe this is the key to solution!

Not sure if this helps, but Helicon Focus is open, and I always drag / drop files replacing the previous ones. I regularly switch modes - Mode A / B / C, every time export (Save...) as TIFF. For every 20 times that I export an image, one or two would have a proper file name. I cannot see any correlation when it exports as Undefined and when it assigns a proper file name.

Any updates? This makes using the software very hard as exporting 30 - 40 TIFF files is hard when I have to manually type in unique file names.

We are working on advanced file naming feature, and plan to release it with next minor update‏
