Minolta 175 MDC images

I was really pleased to see on your website that HF includes dcraw that would allow me to open my old Minolta 175 mdc format images...

But, when I tried to open them, they are not shown as a supported format. How do I open these images?

I think you should simply rename your images to *.raw or *.tiff

Thanks for responding Stas... But when I rename the file, for example image.mdc to image.raw or to image.tiff, it becomes image.raw.mdc respectively image.tiff.mdc in the properties window... and HF still can't open the file.

How do I go about renaming the file so that it eliminates the .mdc extension?

It depends on the program you are using for renaming. Standard windows explorer allows you to change both name and extension.

I would do this with Windows command line:

"rename *.mdc *.raw"
