Processing Batch Images

Post by ila Agarwal »

HI,

I am looking to process a batch on many stacks and obtain an obj of the depth map for every stack. Is it possible for any version of the Helicon focus for any OS ?.

Thank you,

It is not yet possible, you can batch process the stack and save merged image but not the obj file. I will put your request in our to-do list.

Batch of Depth maps

Thanks for your reply.

Can I save the batch of depth maps ?. I can calculate the obj file using depth map and interpolation.

No, current version can only save merged image in batch mode, but not the other types of exports.

Thanks for you reply. I don't know if you can answer this but I am very curious about how do you define the focus measure in Helicon focus. I have tried many approaches but none seem to produce as good results or even close to it. Do you use something like Maximum Likelihood values or line fitting.

We do the same as all digital cameras do: contast detect focusing. Local contrast is measured for each pixel and then this information is used to merge images.
