Version 4.75 Pro much slower than ver 4.61

I just went back to 4.61 and ran the same files -- much faster at full process of several images (TIFs). And in Retouch mode, 4.75 takes over 10 seconds to update when another layer is selected -- 4.61 takes less than2 seconds. Anyone else see this? Is 4.76 (a final release?) back to 4.61 speed?
